Have you ever considered that there is a glass frame that is designed to suit your face shape, or do you just purchase your glasses based on their visual look and first impressions on the mirror while you try it on? Choosing the right glass frames for your face shape can be a daunting task but Gentle Monster is a game-changer tugging at your heartstrings with every collection they have. Their 2024 Optical Collection is one of my favorite releases and made me obsessed with the designs even more!

Oval face shape: An oval face shape is ideal because your proportions are balanced, and fit most frame shapes (square, round, or fun shapes). We want you to maintain the natural balance of the oval face shape, so eyeglass frames that are not too deep or narrow are a very good choice.
Recommendation:
Heart-shaped face: A heart-shaped face has a wide forehead with high cheekbones and a narrow chin. So, to reduce the apparent width of the top of the face, choosing a frame shape that is wider at the bottom will balance out the rest of the features. Thin, light-colored frames or rimless frames that have a light, airy appearance are recommended.
Recommendation:
Square face shape: A square face shape has a strong jaw and often has bold, angular features cut clean, roughly the same proportions. It’s best to choose frames that have more width, curvier, and thinner frames to make your face look longer and soften its angles.

Diamond face shape: Diamond-shaped faces are narrow at the forehead and jawline and have broad cheekbones that may be high and dramatic. To highlight the eyes and soften the cheekbones, try frames that have detailing or distinctive brow lines. The key is to create a balance between your features and the eyeglasses' shape when it comes to choosing the style for you. Rimless eyeglasses and frames with oval or cat-eye shapes also can be good alternatives.
Recommendation:
Round face shape: A round face shape has soft curved lines with the width and length in the same proportions and no angles. You have very few angles to work with because the cheeks and chin are fully rounded, which is why angular narrow frames or wide rectangular frames can be a good choice to lengthen the face to appear thinner and longer.
